The start of Christmas

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all well. I’m really starting to get into Christmas mood and this is the first Christmas in our new apartment so it’s really fun to our decorations coming together in a new space. Last week I was buying some fabric to make a Christmas stocking for M and me. Now, I’m not a very skillful sewer but it’s something I’m trying to get better at and a stocking seemed to be within my capabilities.

Winter here on the west coast can be very varied from snowstorms to rain and darkness for weeks but on this Sunday it was sunny.

I passed a beautiful shop window and got my fabric.

When I was heading back home I texted M and asked if he wanted to join me for a Sunday fika. He was extremely hungover but happy to get some fresh air…

…And food

When we got home I put up a Christmas star and hanged some dried oranges in the window. I really love this time of year.
