Novent

Novent, to me, is a new concept but one I’m happy to include into 2020. I believe that Novent is the combination of the words “november” and “advent”. It is the idea that one should start to celebrate Christmas in november as it is (here in the nordic countries at least) the gloomiest, grayest and darkest month of the year. This concept does not hold that many specific rules on how to do it in the correct way hence, no pressure at all! I will celebrate Novent by bringing out some Christmas decorations, baking saffron buns and heat up some glögg in the evenings. But most importantly for me, I will take time for all the things that I’m grateful for.
